The origins of sculpture are as old and as rich as human history itself. Even the most primitive utensils and weapons reveal scupltural elements, such as carved wooden bowls and cast animals busts on tools and swords. Sculpture differs from all other art forms; it is three dimensional and uses a wide variety of materials - bronze, stone, wood, ceramic, glass, and clay. Sculputure inspires, endures, explores ideas, reveals different cultures, but most importantly, beautifies our surroundings, contributing substantially to the quality of life. |
